Some Haemorrhoids Require More Than Lotions And Creams

Seeing whole gobs of blood in the stool is the real serious warning that could indicate a need for cauterization of the blood vessel, a minor outpatient surgical procedure and the most serious form of Haemorrhoids treatment. Haemorrhoids, the swollen veins inside the lower intestinal tract, sometimes exceed their elasticity limit. Either constant abuse of the veins or one extreme incident can cause the already think wall of the vein to stretch to the point that the wall of the vein is totally compromised and rapid bleeding occurs.

This is an extreme condition and in the minority of end results for piles and Haemorrhoids sufferers. Most bleeding of the haemorrhoidal tissue that is observed manifests itself as spotting when wiping and cleaning the area where the tissue has been severely aggravated by passing hard stools or other foreign activity in the anal passage. This isn’t considered bleeding as much as it is weeping of blood through osmosis occurring at the thinnest or cracked point of the stretched and thrombosed haemorrhoids.

Even haemorrhoids in this stage of weeping are still candidates for topical creams and ointments to be used as treatment, although at this point, the application of them can be as painful as the haemorrhoids themselves, and is better tended to by a third party, although GP intervention is still not mandatory at this stage.
