Cause of Tension Headaches
Tension headaches are probably one of the most common types of headache, yet a lot of people do not have any idea what it really is. In truth, the specific cause of tension headaches still remains unknown. Medical experts used to believe that tension headache root from muscle contraction in your face and neck area that may be caused by anxiety, tension, stress or other strong emotions.
There are a few explanations as to the real cause behind migraine headaches. According to some, migraine headaches are caused due to a lack of blood flow to certain parts of the brain, while others say that chemical reactions in the brain are responsible for migraines.
Since they contain very delicate nerve fibers, they are sensitive to pain. There are mainly two types of headaches such as primary and secondary headaches.
This is perhaps the worst of all headaches with sharp pain and other unpleasant symptoms including sensitivity to light and sound, nausea, dizziness and, sometimes, vomiting. These types of headaches can be debilitating. Laying quietly in the dark quiet room has been shown to reduce the length of a migraine headache.
